Pioglitazone is an anti-diabetic tablet that belongs to a group of diabetic medicines called thiazolidinediones. This is used to treat Type 2 diabetes. Pioglitazone decreases triglycerides and increases the good cholesterol or HDL. It reduces the production and secretion of glucose into the blood by the liver and so helps lowering the level of glucose in the blood.

How does the Piozone 30mg tab work?

Interaction with other drugs
Some drugs like gemfibrozil, rifampin, acetohexamide, chlorpropamide, tolbutamide may and others may react with drugs and increase or decrease the effects of Pioglitazone. So consult with a doctor before use.

This drug is well tolerated but some side effects may occur in some people like muscle pain, headache, sinus, swelling, sore throat, and others. If any symptom becomes serious consult the doctor.
