Cabgolin 0.5mg tablet is a dopamine agonist. this tablet treats high levels of the prolactin hormone in the body. High levels of this hormone cause symptom such as unwanted breast milk and missed periods and causes difficulty in becoming pregnant in women. A high level of this hormone in men cause symptoms like enlarged breasts and decreased sexual desire. Cabergoline tablets is an ergot medication that works by blocking the release of prolactin from the pituitary gland.
Cabgolin 0.5mg tablets contains cabergoline. It is a long-acting dopamine D2 receptor agonist and it inhibits prolactin secretion in the pituitary’s lactotroph cells. thereby decreasing the release of prolactin, which stimulates breast milk production.
